2. Overview
This policy explains the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data on configmind.tech and when using the ConfigMind platform, regardless of the devices or access channels used.
3. Visiting our website (server log files)
When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically collects information in server log files transmitted by your browser, including: IP address, date and time of the request, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, and the page requested. This data cannot be attributed to specific individuals and is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of our website).
4. Contacting us
If you contact us by email (e.g. info@configmind.tech) or via a contact form, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, message content) to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the inquiry relates to a (pre-)contractual matter, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries).
5. Early Access waitlist
If you sign up for our Early Access waitlist, we process the email address you provide to send you a confirmation email (double opt-in) and, once confirmed, to notify you about Early Access. We store the email address, the confirmation status and timestamp, and the page you signed up from. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw your consent and have your email address deleted at any time by contacting info@configmind.tech.
6. Using the ConfigMind platform
If you register for the ConfigMind platform, we process the account and usage data you provide (e.g. name, email address, company details, and the project, documentation, and log data you create) in order to deliver the contractually agreed services. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). We provide customers with a separate, product-specific privacy notice as part of the contractual documentation.
7. Cookies and similar technologies

In particular, our Early Access waitlist form uses Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Ltd.) for spam protection, loaded only after you consent. This involves processing of your IP address and browser data by Google, which may include a transfer to Google LLC in the United States (Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), revocable at any time with future effect via the cookie settings.
8. Disclosure of data
We only transfer your data to third parties where necessary to fulfil a contract (e.g. to hosting providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR), where required by law, or where you have given your consent. Appropriate data processing agreements are in place with all processors.
9. Retention period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations, after which the data is deleted or anonymised.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with future effect. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
